  • 2018-2022: University of Kent, external examiner for astrophysics and space science BSc and MPhys undergraduate programmes
  • 2018-2022: University of Cardiff, external examiner for Data-Intensive Physics and Data-Intensive Astrophysics taught masters degrees
  • External PhD/Masters examiner for various, including Cardiff, Central Lancashire, Hertfordshire, Imperial, Kapetyn, Keele, Leicester, Manchester, Marseille, Nottingham, Padova, Queen Mary, Southampton, SISSA, Sussex.

Current teaching

  • The Relativistic Universe (S383) I chair this module, which covers special and general relativity, and extreme environment astrophysics. It takes our students as close to the cutting edge in research as it is possible to achieve in an undergraduate degree in this area.
  • Science project course: radiation and matter I am a member of the module team, currently reviewing literature review project proposals from students.
  • Postgraduate lectures I give a few postgraduate lectures to our current Ph.D./M.Phil. cohort.
